New Monaro owner

I have had my Monaro VXR for 4 days now......so very very happy with it

Ha ha thanks for that mate. Here are some pictures of her. My only issue at the moment is a squeaking (which seems to be a common issue) that persists even after the car is warm and seems to change based on whether the air conditioning is on or off, it's squeaks more if the aircon is off which is odd.

Looks very good in the photos. The wheel colour really goes well with the silver paint.

As for the squeak, it's probably one of the serpentine belt tensioners or rollers. Not at all unusual, but not an expensive fix IIRC.

You have come to the right forum that's for sure

As for the squeak I too have that annoying noise....
But mines 5 times louder and more when the Air con is on...
Seems to be various different pulleys though so a trip to the Fish is needed for me...

That's a nice looking vxr. The darker wheels look good with the silver. May go a little darker than standard with mine when they're getting refurbed.

Thanks for the welcome chaps. I'll get a couple more photos of both cars up soon. I started a thread regarding the squeak which is coming from the top tensioner pulley. I'll be getting a replacement from the fish soon.

Unfortunately being in Aberdeen I can't just pop into the fish to get anything done That said he is currently building me my Wortec switchable exhaust which is due for delivery in a few weeks and I can't wait.

The car has a stock exhaust at the moment yes. That will change when said system arrives.
