Soooo.......finally back at home. Took the scenic route!..... Well not really but I did pick the car up at 4.30 on a Friday arv and have the m25 to get round to get home. Initial observations:

- only used about a qtr of a tank to get home........70miles........I haven't got the hang of this yet have I? Lol .....sorry Araf your record is safe for another day!
- wasn't concentrating and ended up in wrong lane straight into centre of Guildford rather than the bypass. Interesting detour......not! .........epic fail!
- got to m25.....and I think I was on the only section not gridlocked for hrs ....woo hoo!.......still no chance to really open it up
- txt the missus and said be ready for dinner at 6.30 and I will pick her up.......I left this morning on my push bike..........lol....she had no idea what was going on (a relationship principle I try and apply at all times). She loves it though. Anything that gets her attention from the general public gets the thumbs up smile
- so far...car is running sweetly. Can't fault it. Only thing is getting used to the size and feel. I am used to beetles at 1350 kg kerb weight on adjustable coilovers........this is "somewhat" different.
- love the mix of mod cons and performance........never had a car that mixes both (usually one or the other) ......my 88 vl commo doesn't count!
- love the sticker on the rear window ....sums it up really......"thunder from down under"....haha
- two birds at some lights did the go slow past the car near Guildford and the look behind....wtf?! I know I am good looking but that was taking it a bit far. ;P
- I did drop it a gear when I went past any pub or public place with lots of people outside. Mainly as its juvenile and immature but also amusing............this car has that effect
- love the colour. Impulse Blue just looks awesome on these cars. Couldn't be happier with it.
- big thanks to James for his patience and looking after the car. Lots of work done in his time with it recently which means nothing niggly for me to sort out at all really. Can just enjoy driving it. Big thumbs up from me.

That's it from me for now.
