So finally after a 3mth wait(total impulse purchase so needed to find the money to actually pay for it)I am ready to pick up my VXR8 this week (be either Friday or Sat depending on work). Insurance is sorted. Just need to go get it!

Will post pics / first impressions when I finally drive it in anger for more than just a short test drive. I will be interested to see how many miles i get out of the first tank of gas!!! haha

My best was 75 miles to reserve, so with your blower you should be able to get below that. hehe

blimey Ian. Was that at TR though. Worst I have ever got was 250 miles on a tank in "said" VXR8 but normally 300 mls on a run. So guess somewhere in between

Sounds very similiar to what I get out of the 930 so shouldn't be any surprises there

No, it was at Spa Francorchamps in the VXR8. Had to fill up at lunchtime.hehe

For the record, Thunder Road is pretty light on fuel use, as you're only at WOT for 30 second, then you have to wait another 15 minutes - and you do that 5 times.

For me, Thunder Road is very light on fuel, but heavy on mechanicals. redface

Damn your impulse buy!!! wink I saw that one, and was working out how to buy it "sooner rather than later" and then it disappeared! I now know where! wink
Hope it's as good as it looks, and you got it for a good price.

Oh well, still saving for my second HSV... it'll be worth the wait!
