Took my car to a workshop to have the diff repaired (as most probably know), left the camera turned on, this is what it recorded... http://youtu.be/z5SUUKE7GGA

Interesting I think if your diff wasn't broken they're would of abused your 8
Not sure if I'd take it as a compliment that behaviour or terrifie me
But he sure loved you 8 mate

I certainly wouldn't take mine there given that behavior. What is wrong with that kid?

Really? What's he done wrong? confused

If someone that has gone into a mechanics profession and isn't excited by the sound of a moderately silenced large V8 : there is something wrong.

I've seen my car being MOT'd and seen it taken out from the garage after a wheel refurb. Young drivers. didnt know I was watching. In both instances there was much more throttle blipping than was necessary, but there was absolutely nothing even approaching abuse ( of the car or my trust).

Got to agree with this ^^^^

We all seem to be striving for a good noise from our cars, so a little aural appreciation means you're working in the right direction.

The kid wasn't malicious, just having a nerdgasm. To be fair, I did the same when I first bought my car smile

If there was any foul play I wouldn't have posted up the video and gone to the police instead. Additionally, when he took the car for a test drive, he was actually remarkably sedate driving it, just soaking up the experience.

I dropped my car in to have rear tyres replaced a little while ago, nipped across to Tesco to get some cash out (on foot).

Despite the car was facing away from me, and entering the garage from the far side, I heard the 1 solitary blip just fine (measured on Google as 130m away hehe ).

It was one blip, and wasn't to a particularly high rpm, so I wasn't fussed. Had I heard lots of it, tyre squeal etc. then yeah, I'd have been less impressed!

Chap in the video was suitably impressed I think, although if he's by himself in the car, it's a bit odd to be talking to yourself like that? hehe

I saw it on FB first. I can appreciate he was loving the car, but I kept asking myself whether you had accidentally recorded a retard... Sorry if it sounds harsh. I didn't want to comment on FB for obvious reasons, i.e. the kid's greater good ;P
