In my experience, they're very good times Sammo, and not 'your average' 6.0 times at all. Top work. What were the 60' times?
Many thanks, The adrenalin rush you get from it is something else.If I could find the little scrap of paper you get from Pod I could tell you. I'll always remember the times, as it's something I'm pretty proud of! I'll have a rummage round for it, If I find it, I'll post them up. I know they were all in the low 2's, 2.3 and under from memory. I did it at 'the fast show' so March time...

Really?
I would think you'd need to shift after peak torque, so that you don't drop the revs too much when you take the next gear.
trial and error, but as peak torque can often be very low...I'd think it a bad place to shift.I would think you'd need to shift after peak torque, so that you don't drop the revs too much when you take the next gear.
Shift so as you drop to an rpm level where you are still making good power/torque in the next gear, but not revving excessively in the lower gear before shifting.

Maybe thats why Stig only runs 14's
You`ll find some more time in there I`m sure. I managed 13.2000@107 in an LS2 VXR8 running less than 450hp. Didn`t have the bottle to do a burnout, find myself without the bottle to use both feet with SC off to do it! That would have helped, and I ran with SC on, early in the season, not much grip. Still managed 2.0 60ft on normal road tyres, although lowering the pressures did help a little.

It'll take a miracle to get a manual box to 60ft like that on normal tyres though. Here`s the thread if you`re interested:

Easy with an auto.
Its easy to get in the 10s, when your track is downhill

The 13.6 was the best I could do and with a 2.3 60ft on that one.
Shocking Thats about my normal. Im sticking with my conviction that mid/high 20's pressure and burnout will help line.
Whenever I do both of those I can get 2.0x 60's
Ive even been under 2.0 the odd time.
Rule of thumb is what you save off the 60 you get 2x back over the quarter.
