Oil temps !!??

not from memory it didn't, its a calculated value as most cars use because its cheaper and one less thing to break. You can typically calculate oil temp as a close relation to coolant and a few others, its obviously relying more on the system/engine working within operational guides

I'd be more worried about oil pressure than temp, unless something is catastrophically wrong the oil is not being toasted as proven by how many big miles cars are on here with big power

Vxr8 oil temp sensor is combined with the level sensor in the sump

My sump plug adapter arrived today so hopefully we will have some real world results soon enough.

The drawing is clearly marked engine oil level and temperature sensor.

And the schematic shows a distinct low level switch, and a variable resistor for the temp sender.
