For a 2004 LS1 VXR.

My main pas pipe (the high pressure one) from the pump to the rack is leaking. Normal issue on these cars, except for the fact that I can't get a replacement and the car is my daily driver so once it goes completely I'm stuck!

Does anyone know where I can get one from? The fish are out of stock.

Thanks.

you should be able to take the old pipe to a hydraulic pipe supplier - they could re-use the ends and make a new flexible centre section (I assume its rusted through), or even just copy what you have

Might be fine until a new steel one is back in stock

Did try something similar when my air con pipe went last year but couldn't find anyone local who wanted/could do it.

Starting to doubt the wisdom of buying a 10 year old car that appears to be no longer supported by the OEM rolleyes

Pirtek made me a set. They cut out the centre and reused the ends

That's a possible option but with holiday etc it's going to be difficult to ge the pipe to them.

What is the best way to contact raving?

I realise I am the other side of Town, but if I needed a new pipe I would try this place first, as they are local to me.

Frankly, if you already have a 10 year old pipe that is leaking, why buy another 10 year old pipe? If you can't get a new one, then as GSD said, use the fittings you have - if you can't identify and replace them, and have a hydraulic company make up a new flex pipe for the centre. We have Ardee Hoses in Dover, and they did a similar job on an aircon pipe for me. There's also Hydraquip at Adisham railway station, and Pirtek are all over the country.

Be very careful having pas pipes repaired or made up , they usually have one or more different internal bore sizes ( step up or down ) & some companies sell you pipes saying they are ok for pas oil but they are not & tend to internally break down inside after a period

pm me or call me & I will see what I ve got to help

It shouldnt be hard for some of the Pirtek type places to make something up.

Or depending on the rack fitting, you could DIY.

Certainly the pump end, and hose end are easy enough made via parts from Earls.
Not sure what fitment as at the rack, but I'm sure something could be made up

Neil's had the car for a week now and on closer inspection has found it to be the pump, so easier in that the part seems to be available, but now is more expensive frown

Should get the car back soon with REP, stainless brake hoses and undersealed too so will all be good soon!

Thanks for all the help above.

I had mine changed as the hose crimp ends were sweating oil so purchased a new set as it was easier than me having repair them, I could have easily made new ones up for free myself out of stainless steel, originals had lasted 60k miles and MF had a set in stock for I think £120 was not worth the hassle making them.
