Glad you guys got sorted.
You know I'm here if you need any elusive bits tracking down in Oz and sending back (not bags of any powdery substance though).
Stef
I got round to doing mine at the weekend, and found that the rubber pins for the lock and the boot release were both too long, which led to them pressing the micro switches when the clamshells were pressed together. A quick snip with the side cutters sorted it though
I also peeled off the rubbers and re-glued them because they were a bit crooked. I'd already replaced the batteries so I had to perform some more surgery to allow for the slightly different battery position, but for the money you can't complain

I did mine but changed the buttons for red ones, and found the opposite to you as you have to press the buttons down a bit more for them to workI also peeled off the rubbers and re-glued them because they were a bit crooked.
