Nice..

"Conclusions

This is a very good design, hats off to the engineers at GM. The filing date on the patent is May 1, 2009 therefore props to the management at GM for letting this program move forward through the darkest days of their bankruptcy. This will be considered a seminal design in the history of automatic transmissions."

I presume it will hit the cts-v and Camaro's as well.
Overall gear spread isn't that much more than the 6l80 stuff.

Also I think they have learnt from this program as the new 6l90 stuff uses prestaging on a traditional auto to fill the hydraulic lines and reduce shift times by a few hundred ms too. Apparently this was available from 2012.

Im not sure if its made it to the 6l80e stuff or not.
Perhaps with the VF2 and paddle shift it will make an appearance.

No it doesn't exist.. yet..

Its officially present on the 2015 SS Chevrolet which is of course a Holden..

I guess you could hold off.. Mind you if you are looking at the manual, no need..

Its like IT something new always come out. You have to pull the trigger some time. I cant see anything radical coming along for the ute given its supposed to be axed next year. No LT engine, no 8 Speed etc.. Just death.
