But it wouldn't have the 'charger. I guess prices can come down, but it would be difficult to put them up. wink

Monday, Tuesday, Happy days....

10k for what? Good luck OP

the sum of all the parts separately must be at least 6k so another 4k to bolt it all together is a fkin bargain

Isnt this a car and owner from this forum as the project sounds familiar. Maybe the price on ebay is the same cost of a new roof extension wink

I could shove a blower on mine and it would be a much better package than an old farm engine with a truck gearbox and an agricultural blower (but yes I did consider it wink)

this pissing flat sale if it ever completes (and it should) will see me having a new toy with an LS engine of some description

New T56 gearbox is £2800ish for a Monaro and a crate supercharged LSA is £8875. Then you need an ECU, ancillaries, loom, charger cooler radiator, etc, etc. I guess you'd be looking at £13-14K for an all new equivalent.

For those who have to pay VAT, a new engine is £5220 and the gearbox is £2100. That's £7320. Then you need the clutch (LS7 in this case £660), the ECU (£881), starter motor (£276), and all other ancillaries (£881 for the kit). That's over £9800 (or nearly £8200 + vat for Ringram). It's like getting a free supercharger with intercooler. wink

I'm not trying to justify the price, and am not on commission. However, for someone that wants a complete package for their kit car, it does make sense - as long as you are happy with the provenance.

Why detune the car with the 122? They are proven not to do more than 400rwhp which is cam only NA..

But point taken on ancillaries.

laugh And we all know that a cam is only tuppence ha'penny. wink

I think I've demonstrated in the past that I would rather stump up for a new unit, so all I'm saying is that anyone considering a second hand plug and play unit from one of the specialist breakers should seriously consider an offer on this.

Working on the basis that it isn't going in another Monaro (you wouldn't need the ancillaries), I think Rigram is looking at the price of a TR6060 - excluding VAT of course. wink

I was interested in the charger but massively priced out the market! Would make more sends to sell privately I guess. If this sells at this price then it would effectively mean a perfectly functional SC monaro could be worth more broken then as a unblemished complete car. Interesting thought!
