I'm not selling it just sharing. If you read the m3 ad you'll see he had been speaking with dyno torque about the transplant. I'd guess 5-6k for their work on top of the 9.5 and then the 8.5 m3 adds up to 23-24k total.

Why detune the car with the 122? They are proven not to do more than 400rwhp which is cam only NA..

But point taken on ancillaries.
Really!? 400rwhp.... My old one must have been broken as I am sure it kicked yr monster NA engine at the track and on the dyno! wink
Hmm, mine too, mine was 480RWHP with nothing more than water/meth kit fitted and stock headers.

Think someone has had too many shandy's ! wink

I was interested in the charger but massively priced out the market! Would make more sends to sell privately I guess. If this sells at this price then it would effectively mean a perfectly functional SC monaro could be worth more broken then as a unblemished complete car. Interesting thought!
The parts are rare, so the parts are expensive. Because of this, they've always hovered around a retail break point, and when values dip below that, the specialist breakers will break perfectly good cars for their parts.

All the bits new work out around £10250 (for a ls3 na), Its ok looking at an engine price & a box but its all the other bits you get with a used conversion
gear remote, prop, alternator bracket ,starter bolts, bellhousing bolts, clutch master & pipework etc etc etc & THE specialised breaker knows
If you already have a car you have the ancillaries so then it would be a yes to buy new
I also did offer the chap a supercharged ls powered 3 series for cheaper than to build one but declined , cheaper to buy than build .

One of my best pals who is on here owns it, I supplied engine , box , blower & made all the mounts etc.
Forged Ls2 with heads cam etc etc with Vortech V2
The car is mint & he was going to sell , it should be at the Bmw show on the Eibach stand
Its been done about 4 years

You girls are talking about more than just the blower though! vxr500 is just blower and thats just 400rwhp!
Ebay gent is not selling the complex expensive messy horrendous contraptions you guys ran for your 30 second window of fame in the middle of winter.

Erm, no, you are quite incorrect, when I had a simple bolt on charger (122 and not the VXR500 112) stock internals, stock headers etc etc, it made 460 RWHP, the meth kit added another 20 RWHP, nothing complex, expensive, messy or horrendous about smile

Hhhhmmmmm need to try a Heartbeat then as it drives very different to the other SC setups Ive owned/been in. very progressive but lots of power.

We can swap, you need to see how 500rwhp NA feels like too.

Its too expensive! I was lucky to get my 122 second hand so was fairly cheap.

With the SC's it the clutch and fuel system that also adds extra expense.

The way NA was keeping up with the SC set ups at TR to well over legal speeds was rather surprising, I just cant see the point in the expense when you're only going to benefit from it once or twice a year !

Stick a BIG Cam in mine, maybe a better intake, and that'll do me fine smile

Did you map it for the meth kit and what percentage mix did you use?

No, didn't touch the mapping, added the kit, mix was around 12%, stuck it on the same rollers and went from 460 to 480. Nothing else was touched on the car.

Meth was sprayed around 4PSI onwards
