'My' Old VXR

Interested to know whether what used to be my VXR is owned by anyone on here. Had to sell it to generate a house deposit - literally the hardest decision of my life Sold it to a chap who seemed genuine but believe he had to sell it on shortly afterwards due to personal circumstances and lost track of it. It would be nice to know the old girl's still going and hasn't met an unfortunate end.

Doesn't appear to be on any insurance or tax database... is that the original plate?

Not many UK cars with the SvedeSpeed on, will have to keep an eye out at meets, the bonnets always go up

Though as many get put on personal plates, that may not mean it isn't on the road.

yep, that's the original plate. I hope someone's just put a private plate on it as I like the idea of being able to buy it back someday (as unlikely as that may be!). Had a stainless oil cap when I sold it as well, along with a PH smiley on the NS corner of the rear bumper.

do you know where the chap you sold it to lives? There's a Silver VXR with that exhaust etc popped up near me about 3 months ago with a private plate on now... could be the one?

funnily enough, I said to the guy when I bought mine that it'll be going on a private plate so don't worry if you do a check to see if it's still on the road and can't find it :-)

Those exhausts tip are very popular mods on 6.0 VXRs

I think the guy I sold it to was midlands way but would have to dig out the paperwork to be sure. That was over a year ago now though and I think it's changed hands since. Is the one near you quite loud? When I sold it it had a Wortec cat-back with straight pipes, so was loud! I gave him the original pipes though so again, could be changed back.

I'm in the midlands myself so maybe it is the one near me.... yeah it's very loud. Not as loud as mine with the cutouts open though ;-)
