Are they worth the money? - No

Are they miles better than the stock one or only maginally? - Only marginally, high up the rev range, and where large airflow is necessary.

Save your money smile

ETA- to be more helpful:- porting LS3 intakes is a possible option, but you have to be careful on this, as it can be counter-productive. I'm sure GelfVXR was looking into intake porting by a US company.

If n/a I guess it may also depend on actual state of tune of the engine you intend to bolt it to.

But most factory intakes are pretty good.

Thanks for the replies so far, I was possibly looking at getting one when I hopefully get a BIG Cam put in the GTS, but by the sounds of it, I don't need to bother !

It will be kept N/A.

Thanks

my Luanti Voodoo cam has arrived and was looking at the fast intake vs the Edelbrock pro flo, the pro flo looks miles cooler and is a bit cheaper but has totally split opinions! I'm staying n/a as well and just doing bit by bit, so far its got headers, cam exhaust, otr, was looking at intakes like you, but just not sure!

Keep the stock ls3 intake and concentrate on a proper exhaust and cold air.
They will deliver much more than the fast will.

Well it's now got the WP headers and sports cats, 3" exhaust and the WP OTR intake so hopefully that should cover those.

Sounds like just a Cam to go on then and a decent map.

Car is going on the RR Day coming up so that will set the bench mark for what the Cam adds. Hopefully Mr Tax Man is paying for most of that as I've put a tax rebate in for my pension contributions wink

As has been said, the FAST on an LS3 is not worth it unless you're going for every last hp and money isn't going to get in your way.

The stock LS3 manifold is a good one. The stock LS2 manifold is a piece of crap. This is where the gains are best with a FAST hehe

There's a stock/Fast comparison vid somewhere on youtube. The Fast "gained" between 0 and 5 bhp over the standard LS3 intake IIRC

Yep, thats a good start. Check filter area on the OTR. At WOT you want zero difference atmospheric to manifold otherwise its robbing power.
My OTR stole 50rwhp! Hence why its now sitting in the garage..

Now the fun.. What spec cam are you looking at? Max high RPM, or raise torque overall, or just at low RPM etc?

Torque peak will always be at around 4400 with the LS3 intake, but you can bend and stretch it with valve timing etc

I had a discussion recently with MF about the fast intake who advised me not to bother as the gains would not be worth the outlay Unless as previously stated your chasing every horse possible and have tons of dough.
NA all the way

Cam spec........haven't got a clue, will need to rely on people that have done this before.

Will have a word with WP when the time is right, I'm not fussed on issues with it being a daily driver, as it's not, it's a weekend toy, so I'm looking bigger than the normal fitted, hopefully the Aussies will have a few ideas.
