Battery!

Decided this morning to get a battery before we do Europe tomorrow as it had been cranking slightly slow for a week and it was 5 yrs old after all. Went out to the garage to jump in the car and today it's dead as a dodo.... Tip, if it sounds a little flat and over 4 yrs old I'd just buy a new one as mine was fine to drive Wednesday but totally dead today! Lucky escape for our trip me thinks!

If its 4 or 5 years old, best to replace

When VXR8 batteries start to go they go next day. Have done loads like that. Dont bother to charge yhem now if origina just replace them

I got the 'low battery' warning on the dash a couple of times in the fortnight before mine died.

With the misfire problem I'm having at the moment (see misfire thread) I will be changing my battery ASAP just eliminate what might be causing it.

I think it was Schrodingers Battery. Until S800 tried it today, the battery was both alive, and dead.
