Stick me down as a maybe (90%) be good to actually meet some people off the forum.

I'll also bring a friend who has an LS1 VXR Monaro if it's back on the road in time, if not he'll have to be a passenger with me.

What's the general plan?
Good stuff- I'll add you to the list. It would be great if your friend can make it in his Ro too smile

Plan is to meet at AAS's premises around 9.30ish, have a bacon roll and coffees, chat amongst each other etc. Then the ones who are interested can join us for a run through the Tyne tunnel biggrin

If I can swap my shift, would MrsSE and I be welcome in a slightly unphotogenic Omega? It's a proper one, V6 manual, if a little lacking in cylinders compared to most of you... biggrin
Of course smile Some say the Monaro is just an Omega with a V8 anyways.

Is it too late to sign up for this? I think I might actually be able to make it! Not managed to get to a meet yet and I'm desperate to hear some decent examples! (I've had a custom exhaust made for mine, and it's not great....very bassy/droney.. hence me winging on about it on a couple of the other threads!)
Of course not- you'd be welcome I attend smile

What time you guys thinking of meeting on Saturday on the A69

Reason I ask is I have two routes to choice to attend

One way:- Near Preston M6 North then across A69 via M6 and A69 2 h 52 min
158 miles

The Other way:- Near Preston A59 across to A1(M) via A59 and A1(M) 2 h 50 min
123 miles

Be nice to hook up with someone on the way :-)
Hi Mate,

I'm meeting up with Wav8 just off Junction 43 of the M6, on the A69, at around 8am.

Heading north, if you come off the M6 at J43 and go right on the roundabout for the A69. There will be a dual-carriageway which is circa 1 mile long. At the end of the dual carriageway, there is a pub/restaurant on the right hand side- we are meeting in this car park smile

Was looking at setting off from here around 7am, Google suggests it'll take 1hr 58min, to get the pub your meeting at ( I think it's called Rahi at The Waterloo )

So by that timing I won't be able to get there for 8am ( Probably for me and the kids, 8:30-40am we would pass there ) So we may have to catchup with you all at AAS for 9:30ish.

Unless you guys are having breakie there or at least a coffee, then we wouldn't be to far behind in terms of timings.
I don't think we'll be hanging around at the meet point- ideally I need to be at AAS before most people arrive. R-kid's suggestion looks good smile

Hi folks. I can confirm I am going to make it tomorrow. My friend is coming but only as a passenger with me as his AP's haven't arrived yet for his Monaro so it's MOT less. Also my 15yr old brothers V8 mad so I don't suppose it's a problem if he tags along with me?
Not a problem smile A few other non-HSV members have cottoned on to this, so expect a variety of cars when you arrive!!

Hi all,

On behalf of Stuart, Alistair and the others at AAS, plus myself, I would just like to thank you all for attending. I personally thought it was fantastic meet- I hope everyone else enjoyed it too smile It was also nice to put some faces to names, as well as catching up with mates.

The tunnel run was awesome! Apologies to R-kid, I think we may have lost you on the way there.

After speaking to Stuart, we would like to turn this into a regular annual event, perhaps maybe even twice a year. I hope you all (plus others) can make the future meets.

Cheers
Mike
