If we are here you are welcome to stay with us in Milton Keynes - space for car and a double bed! All for the price of a decent bottle of red.

Thought id post an update

With regards to accommodation in Sweden, we are struggling to get a second house but we have found a hotel which is a 40 minute drive away from the show and it passes the place that Rich, Gareth, Me and my mate are staying at

Trevor aka North of Watford, and Paul aka pah250 have both booked a room each, i have also booked 2 rooms there as spares

If anyone wants to book a room i would do it fast as everywhere is filling up

The dates we have booked are check in Wednesday 1st July and checkout Sunday 5th July

Like i said i have 2 spare rooms at the hotels but if you want to book your own i would.

Failing this i have a contact in Sweden trying to find a house but im not sure what he will find and there is also camping at the place Rich is staying at

The link to Trev and Pauls hotel is

http://www.booking.com/hotel/se/elite-stadshotelle...

I hope this post made sense

Just to add to GSDs post, it's unreal how little accommodation there is left within an hours radius of the show due to such high demand.

The rooms at the hotel he's linked to above have a free cancellation policy right up until the day of arrival, and no payment is taken until you arrive.

If you'd like to go but can't commit at this time, you could book a room and hold onto it for now, then cancel later on if you need to pull out, at no cost. But you'll need to book ASAP to avoid disappointment folks!!

.. yep which is why you have to basically book the day after the show for the next year. (If not before then!)

Ive been doing some googling, if we plan to take the same sort of route as last year, so drive through Denmark, we could do an overnight stop in Flensburg

Found this hotel which looks decent

http://www.booking.com/hotel/de/best-western-des-n...

Last year the drive to Bremen on the return leg from Vasteras was long so maybe an overnight stop in Hamburg this year

Question.

Have you ever consider the Harwich -- Hook of Holland ferry. Stena Line do 2 crossings daily; one day, one overnight.??

I used them last August, a reasonable service.

I actually dont mind mate where we stop. Around the area was good. Bremen traffic was bad. Or was that Hamburg. Anyway, that might play into it.

I don't mind where we stop on the way there or back.

I'll be staying overnight in Dover on the Monday and then taking the tunnel to get across first thing Tuesday morning. I'm assuming others will be taking the tunnel too so will plan to meet there.

I also don't intend to be hanging about watching the MPG on the way there - I'm all up for high speed cruising for the most part where we can smile

Bremen was bad but that was due to an accident which meant stand still traffic.

Hamburg had traffic around the bridge/tunnel area

Hamburg seems like a good overnight stop to me.

Google maps says 6 hours 45 minutes from hamburg to calais, assuming no stops and traffic.

So you could still make a 5pm crossing quite easily with a few stops and a small amount of traffic
