Hi guys,
a seller on eBay.AU has front & rear discs & pads set for good coin. Has anyone here had a set yet and if so, how do they perform?
I mainly need the fronts but at that price, its worth having the set.
cheers in advance. Andy

And the shipping cost, its the weight on brakes that will be the issue.

I'd be concerned on several counts:

- They're suspiciously cheap
- No mention of brand
- No mention of manufacturer of brake pads. 'European Style' Brake Pads...what?!
- 'Finest quality metals which are high in Carbon'...eh?
- 'Less carbon makes for longer stopping time' - thanks for clearing that up smile
- 'Suitable for everyday normal driving'...so what if you get a little 'spirited'?

I would say they're (best case) generic parts made for the Commodore (although I'm not sure if they had 365mm fronts) and at worst...cheap Chinese copies. Love the addition of some 'Brembo' brake fluid (genuine?) to try and add some authenticity to the deal.

Negative comments not too impressive either. For something as important as Brakes? I'd avoid.

I have bought stuff from Australia before and nowhere near the weight of these, the carriage was horrendous and that was without import tax. Be careful.

By the time you have faffed about and the added risk involved will they be that much cheaper than say Monkfish to justify this as a better option?

Factor between £250-£300 to ship 4 discs (roughly 45kg total and 45cm x 45cm x 10cm each boxed disc)
then duty and VAT...

Ive dealt with this seller, purchased full set of 4 discs from him for myself and a couple of other owners.

This was his price for front and rear discs, here is his message quoting me the prices;

Hi there,

Rotors are $549.90 for all four normally, but I will do them for you for $520 to help with the postage payment. Postage via DHL for all four rotors is $312.62 and you would have them end of day 24/6/14. Let me know and I can send you a Ppal invoice.

Regards Greg

They came by air and it took 8 days.

All in I paid £295 for all 4 discs and £178 postage, I havent had them fitted yet as I am not desperate to change them just yet but for the price it was worth getting them ready and for £480 it was a no brainer when compared with UK prices. Oh and I havent been collared for import duty neither and no mention of it when delivered, cant remember what he wrote on the postage label but hes a decent guy.

The other owners who fitted them say they are as good maybe slighty better then the original discs.
