I use to run a Ram with a well worked 327 small block & a 4 speed behind it with 345 yoko rear tyres & I really struggled with traction still & that never had no where near the power of this car

To pull numbers like that it would have to be running an 8.5, which is unlikely looking at it (to start with, the camber on the rear wheels is completely wrong)
A light-weight Cobra tips the scales at around 1000kg, so a well set-up drag version of the car might makes those numbers on a clean, dry, glued stretch of perfect Tarmac. I'm guessing the car pictured would pull a high ten at 130mph on a good day at the Pod. Sixty would come up in just under four seconds if you were lucky.

That's still a far cry from 187 in 10 seconds though.
With far less tyre I can easily do low 10's without trying too hard and close to 150mph at the Pod at around 1700kgs
I'm sure the Cobra is lighter, although with an engine that size, not sure it'd be down to 1000kgs.
Either way, with that power, auto, wide tyres ( assuming drag radials ) it will go very fast.
But 300kph in 10 secs is just a little beyond very fast....It's very very very fast.

The only time's Ive hit 12's in the last few years have been botched up runs or in the wet.
Even a local crappy airfield was high 11's on 235 888's in the 140's other than more wet runs.

The Cobra uses Viper sized tyres which are huge and is auto and I'm sure much lighter. So will grip far far better than mine everywhere.
It should have the ability to run low 10's on normal asphalt.
Would be great to find some actual stats, and where the acceleration claims were done, whether road or strip, whether with same tyres etc.
If I got a good run on an airfield just on 888's, I think mine would be around 18 secs to 187mph.
I see original Cobra, no doubt iron block ? is listed as 1150kgs
So really not heavy at all, maybe that one could be similar ?

Just reading that Weineck thing again...says it's a 4 speed ? yet also say's it has a clutch so must be manual ?
Seems a bit weird.
Says 0.9hp/kg...so that sounds like sub 1000kgs actual weight. So it is light !

Clearly, Stevie, you haven't experienced the worse that York can offer
Released the trans-brake when the lights changed and just smoked the tyres. Never had that happen before. And after 3.3-seconds the boost controller runs through its cycle and leaves you with 20-psi, which is useless on a sh*t surface.

I was at it once about 10 years ago, just spectating though. Ive never raced on it though. But I've raced on many very poor surfaces for drag racing, largely because there isnt anything good here ! lol
When conditions are poor, you have to take it easy off the line, even more so with road tyres and manual box.
Trying to launch hard just gets you nowhere.
For the 0-124mph in 4.9 secs... I'd think that would be on par, if not faster than your 1/8th ?
It just doesnt add up in my eyes.
I havent even seen any of the very fast Caterham type cars which weigh nothing put out a time like that or even close to it.

It's a very nice reproduction too, so may be close to affordable.
About 800kg, aerodynamic and with the widest rear tyres ever fitted to a track car. That motor must be the hand of god above 100 mph.

My best 1/8 mile time is 5.69 to 131. That was on an 8.59 quarter mile. Which means the Cobra supposedly runs mid eights.
And they're claiming it wears Yoko's albeit R versions, and I presume those timing stats would not be a dragstrip ?The numbers simply don't make sense....if they're real they're astounding.
