My average is 23mpg, but smaller engine and probably lighter but don't quote me on that as it is a bit longer

Actually mate.
As you know that is an ancient legacy platform.
The latest is the gen f, that's an old gen e..

The reason why I said 'platform.' The VE and GenF share the same Zeta platform. The VZ I think is what they class as the Omega B platform. Please correct me if that's not right.

Thanks Guys,

Am I right in thinking that the manual will be a Tremec T56?

I'm up in Cumbria, so will have to travel quite a bit to try out a few - I tried a manual VS ute (with the Holden V8) a couple of months ago, and really quite liked it, just needed a bit of work I didn't have time for.

I'll keep searching Autotrader/Pistonheads/ebay and see what comes up - is there a big difference between the earlier third generation (like this one) and the later 4th generation ones ( like this)

Cheers,

Fatboy
I'm based in Penrith, so if you wanted to try the same gearbox (albeit in a slightly different platform), you're more than welcome to.

Yeah, off side must be perfect along with the interior that.
With only the front clip required..

It is very hard to find how much they can carry. I know mine is 500kg but had to go and look up the placard on the passenger door.
My 2008 VE SSV ute can carry 500kg and tow 1600kg. The baseline VE Omega Ute can carry 794kg.
Wonder if this link will work.

wink

As you have said before. The manufacturers have to convince you that you need the latest, or they wouldn't sell any.

I've just read that Holdens will get the LS3 in 2016. Maybe you were right about HSV getting the LT for their final edition. scratchchin

E38 750iL - thread here, great fun, but decided to sell it on and keep the Porsche 944 instead.
