If you've got traction issues with the power you're running, the simple answer is
Michelin Pilot Super Sports.
When it comes to grip, they really are like night and day compared to most other tyres.

If you're looking for something that may last longer, give marginally better wet weather performance, Goodyear Eagle F1

@007vxr

car is a 04 cv8 with 430 flywheel hp.

driving style, its my daily its gets a fair share of pottering and some fast a roads.
I like to drive quick but don't want ultimate grip a little amount of 'play' is much more fun.

Dear m,

I've tried (in order of scariness)
Sunew - fitted by previous owner, dangerous oversteer at anything above 40mph.
Nexen 6000 - not as bad as the above but still not in any way safe. Good on the front, what I've got now.
Good old Bridgestone RE050 - solid tied down rear, what I've got now.

I assume you've got stock 18" wheels?

I've not tried the MPSS as my style is not as, ahem, exuberant as some here smile

regards,
Jet

Oi Mark,I'm Scottish and I've got MPSSs on all 4 corners!!! Brand new ones on the rear. I ran P Zeros before I "saw the light"! The MPSSs are excellent and worth every penny. My 2p worth.
