I think you should put the oil in through the filler cap. Not where the dipstick lives. You will waste most of your expensive engine oil.

I think you could do with reading your Drivers Manual, look for page 180 in your manual . Look for item E in your diagram, that is your filler cap

I just threw some 5 / 30 in mine. It said that on the filler cap. Mobil Super 3000 Fully Synthetic - I found it lying around in my garage.

Roger was kind enough to measure mine out and the middle dot is the recommended amount.

Thanks Rich. That's about where my oil level was but as where I live is on a side of a hill it's hard to find a level bit of ground and be certain of the exact amount of oil in the sump.
Had two quarts of oil arrive from Monkfish today and put one in,I don't think this will overfill it so all should be good.
