So I know I need a Bosch 5008 as a replacement, do they need coding to the car or anything like my BMW 6 series used to?

Also, I fitted an Orssom OTRCAI today and got a traction control error on startup, am I right in thinking the battery is the most likely culprit? According to my mech he thought it didn't start as fast as it should when he saw it...Unfortunately I can't check charge on mine, old software.

Yes, no, yes, and have you tried the engineering mode to check the battery state?

(Right battery, doesn't need coding to the car, and I agree with your mechanic that the battery is the likely cause of the error)

Make sure the air flow metre is plugged in properly as this will also give a traction control error

Thanks guys, new battery it is. I also think I hadn't pushed the afm plug all the way in. Great forum this!

Anyone know the correct GM/GO battery for a 6.0 VXR Monaro? Thanks.
