Haha - after hearing a few cars at SRR I did consider a louder exhaust to address the gear whine hehe

The Milltek is actually quite quiet compared to some!

Yes I was a little disappointed after putting I on, suggest cut outs to give best of both worlds. Oh the exhaust is close to rear body and over time will get close and droned a lot a simple bit of pressure from a boot, not a lot, is enough to realign and cut drone out

Pilgrimage complete.

Big thanks to the guys at Monkfish - my car is sorted (with a 'happy medium' 3.7 gear) thumbup

Did an oil change and gave her a wash when I got home, hopefully we she'll behave herself for a while now...

Pleased to hear. They're good up there, cool until Andy comes into the waiting room with his clipboard and card machine. hehe

I'd been in the waiting room for an hour when Andy first came in... I was already panicking that whatever he said next would start with '..err, well, we've got a little problem...' but it was just to say that the breakfast truck was outside if I wanted anything to eat... Phew!

Thanks to the rubbish weather I decided to have a tinker with the car today....

Firstly went from this:

To this:

Then took off the strut brace, sanded back to (mostly) bare metal and started spraying it to match the AP's:

Still have a couple of other little jobs to do... hopefully I'll get it all finished tomorrow and I can post up some before & after pics smile

Should have gave it a primer coat first.

Looks well-loved. At least swap in a short VXR stick (or even a full shifter), the long stick stands out like a sore thumb! wink
Or a long fingerbiggrin

Quick update:- strut brace paint is holding up ok - Hammerite is a little more expensive but does seem to last the distance:

Today's project is to fix / replace the broken fog light:

The glass was ok, but the lights were past their best!

Did a quick trip up to MF earlier this week and my GForce drive shafts are finally clunk free:

Not a cheap upgrade but the GKN CV joints do seem to be much better thumbup

I was never happy with the cheapo fog lights that I fitted in place of the OEM units so thought I'd try something a little different:

I'm really pleased with how it's turned out... what does everyone else think?

Doesn't look too bad. Was the original plastic egg crate easy to remove without snapping any of the retaining clips?

Bottom insert comes out easy, top is integral.
