My Admiral multicar is really cheap but I have my Monaro VXR on it as well with exhaust & brake mods declared. I have full NCB, my wife on cover too and business mileage included at around £400.

Rang Flux about something else yesterday and was on hold for ages!

Sky have dropped their renewal prices each year, not sure why but happy with the £575 so not looking to swap this year
You're lucky Mick. I'll give them a lash next time.

I was happily surprised and all the mods declared, that reminds me to call them tomorrow to pay, that bit I'm not happy about LOL

I'm staying with Sky this year, good prices and easy to deal with. £600 for my VXR8 with mods declared and parked on the mean streets of Teesside! smile

I had been with admiral for a few years, they put the premium up £100 due to a non fault accident, which annoyed me intensely. I got the best price from vauxhall insurance £217 fully comp with protected ncb.

Im 36 with full NCD. Standard 6.0l vxr. Been with Admiral last four years. Last renewal £265! Last year had two windscreen claims too, which was hassle free.

Just had my renewal from Elephant - £251. So, it's dropping! Must be due to the car being 10 years old now... frown

Hey,

Although I have a vxr8 no a Ro, my renewal from admiral has just come through and its over £85 cheaper than las year which i'm really happy with.

26 years old, 9 years ncb protected, 7000 miles annually, mods declared and guaranteed and 1 extra driver £543.

I havnt shopped around yet and don't know if i will as thats a really good price for me I think.

Although i will give a word of warning about Sky.

Sky once gave ma a call for a quote and when I said i'll go back to my current insurer who was flux at the time to see if they could beat them, the guy from sky made a big fuss said i was down on there system as using them to reduce my quote with current insurer and refused to quote me unless I took the insurance out with them there and then. I woulndt go with Sky even if the insurance was free.

Thanks,

Flux are always dead cheap the first year but then seem to bump their prices up. Never look forward to the pissing around at renewals. For a standard car I'd always just go with whatever the comparison sites throw up but its a bit more difficult with some mods

phoned Admiral today, hi we would like to change our policy to business use " sure no problem that's an extra £17.85 for 12 months" . wow no brainer. Can use the VXR for work jaunts now.

Be mindful that cheaper insurers usually means in the event of a claim you are restricted to the underwriter's preferred supplier. If you want to use your own, you are, on your own.

Overlook this part of the proposal, and you might be in for a surprise/disappointment.
