Would it be an idea to actually contact TG and see if they would be interested in a feature? Maybe Dougie could see if Vauxhall had an interest as well.

Wikipedia shows the Pendine Sands programme as airing in October 2014 (so we have missed the 10 year anniversary) - but the review of the updated VXR (the drift one) was featured in Series 6, Episode 11 that was apparently aired in August 2005 - so that would be a 10 year anniversary.

Not sure if scheduling for a Bank Holiday would be optimal as accommodation could be scarce (and expensive).

Personally, I'd vote for a Sunday morning meet (so, could stop over on the Saturday - and go back Sunday afternoon (or evening subject to filming))...
