I keep thinking its time to sell my Monaro, after seven years its about time for a change!
But....I have spent a fortune looking after it, and what would I really get for it come the day of sale?...(how about rock all at a guess)
As for a replacement I would only consider a Camero or Challenger, and that's a cool £30,000.00 for a low mileage one.
So, spend all that money for a car with the same power output as the one sitting in my garage......
The bottom line for me is to keep it for a few more years yet.
I think i'm caught in a replacement car time loop!... help, get me out of here!!!

Regards John

You probably missed a post earlier from garyv8tiger, asking what their car was worth. Probably worth you getting in touch, if you want to part with your money. I don't know the car, but some on here will. smile

Nice try,but almost 27yrs ago I sold my Dodge Challenger..the sight and sound of it as the new owner drove it away still haunts me to this day!
I can't go through that again......what the hell's wrong with me?

anyway best of luck with your quest..hope you get a good one.

regards John

Selling my first one was the worst thing I ever done. The mrs will vouch for the amount of moaning that followed over the next year or so. Luckily my second one is better than the first. I'll sell one of the kids before I part with it this time biggrin

I think the problem is they are worth more to us than other people are prepared to pay. The engine in mine cost 20k so why let the whole car go for 5k? Add the emotional attachment and it's little wonder they don't come up for sale.

This, completely. Even when I'm really pissed off with the car.

Accept it's yours, and get 'molesting'! Best tactic.

Chevy, are you still in the market for a monaro? Which vintage are you looking at?
