After changing spark plugs/ht leads and running shells finest again, am able to push the car up to 6k with no problem, hopefully this has cured my problem( will find out Saturday as re booked on to srr( thanks again Charlie)) after the run I parked up and let it run for a bit, couple of minutes later heard a horrible noise from under the bonnet, switched off engine straight away and found that the air con belt had come off, luckily j666eds was with me to help get it back on again.
The tensioner pulley seemed fairly easy to move though, can this be tightened or is it foobared?

Thanks Gary

You need the better aircon bracket tensioner set up from Monkfish, blipping throttle and high revs are not liked by std one pulley set up

WHS. had the same on mine and the upgraded twin pulley tensioner totally solved it.

Thanks all, should this be a priority now it's come off once, will it be more regular?

Get it done ASAP or you will just cost yourself a fortune in belts & you don't want it to ham anything up

Is not an expensive fix

Mine kept coming off and wrapped around engine pulleys

Got NWJ Autocare to fit a new twin pulley and now sorted no probs now.

Is this a common thing and is it more of a supercharged issue or on any thing , I have had no issues on the car with it yet

Stock it's not much of an issue. SC or cammed lumps Rev a little more aggressively and that upsets the tensioner.

As mentioned, its best to get the new tensioner fitted, had same issues, not had any probs since, get someone to fit who has done them before, they are a very tight fit
