Wortec exhaust come off!

Hello I was driving along nicely taking my time over a speed bump and I heard a thud from the rear. Had a look further up the road and noticed the left pipe from the back box has come away. Do these just push into each other? Other side looks like it does? I can't see any clamps, seems like a bad design?

On my early system it uses a clamp to hold the slide

It's a solid bracket system it uses.

I think its the 3" inch wortec. I haven't been able to see underneath properly due to it being dark but from what i can see there is no clamp and looking at the other side it looks like the two pipes just slide into each other?

Wortec is a 2.5" system.

They make a 3" for the VXR8, which the OP has.

Not sure they would be a push fit, without at least springs to keep it together.

Not sure if it's the same , I had an 04 cv8 , the exhaust split in a complete circle , local exhaust place welded a flexi pipe in on each side , standard there are not many places for the system to flex

Sorted it, it just needed put back in the bracket and tightened up. Yeah your right theres no flex in it at all, it hangs very low too!
