It would good to discover who can CNC port to a proven programme. For both cathedral and rectangle port heads. Don't fancy letting someone experiment with good heads. Could be easy to oversize the intake runner I suspect if overzealous.

Off to see family.

You can buy plenty of proven products in the states but it would be interesting to find someone in this country who could do it along with before and after flow figures

Just buy the GM Performance CNC ported heads and flog your stock ones to someone with an LS2.

Cost me £800 plus duties and the workmanship is excellent.

That looks a bargain, are the valve springs any good or is it wise to put your own in to suit the cam or can you advise them what to add?

Springs would be fine for a reasonable cam. You can't change the spec, part of the cracking deal. I'm keeping the springs on my stroker. Looking to use the stock rocker assembly too.

I have CNC ported LSA heads from Ligenfelter. Worth looking at as they are made from different material than LS3 heads and rotocast for strength.

However, if I were you I wouldn't bother as stock LS 3 heads are plenty good enough and it will make the same power on FI. Spend the money on quality valve train components.

What spec you going for? Are you going to upgrade your gearbox?

Wouldn't bother with a blower set up. Difference would be negligible for the money spent IMHO.

Agreed. Your limitation is your gearbox. You can make way more power with a tiddly cam than that will ever take.

Agreed, get a new box from the States and shoot for 650whp/600lbs with pistons, rods and cam only. You won't be able to put more on the road anyway and your blower should remain coolish in most situations. With the auto it will be a weapon.

if the box is the weakest link, focus on that before more power

I was under the impression that the springs are only good for .550 inches of lift

Funny number that, as it's less than a stock LS3 cam confused
.551" intake
.522" exhaust

Have to see how they cope on the dyno

A matching intake and a good cam would probably yield good results on an LS2. Anyone done this? curios to hear how the car drives. Tempted to do something like this with my vxr8.

I'm have a pair of these fitted to a stroked LS2. FAST LSXR 102mm intake, throttle body and injector rails. Long tube headers and a reasonable cam. Should be good for 300hp....

You mean LS3 heads and intake on an LS2? It's been done a couple of times in the UK.
