Picked the CV8 up yesterday after it had the headers and cats fitted (already had the Wortec cat-back). I thought having the cat back fitted earlier this year made a huge difference, but OMG, headers and cats, much much much bigger difference. And I love it biggrin

There's a definite extra bark on start up and a meatier idle (amplified by the covered car port) but don't think that is enough to really upset the neighbours any more. But, you only need to look at the throttle funny, it is so much louder than before, so it is a really careful crawl out of the estate just trying ride the clutch bite etc. But the noise, it is so much more gutteral and angry, and when you open it up past 3500+ rpm, it takes on a real bellowing Nascar snarl that was missing before, but bet you can hear it from a long way as well as no silencers anywhere laugh
Will try and record it at some point, but my ears were so overwhelmed, I don't know how a camera mic will cope!

I've got the Wortec cat back fitted and keep flirting with this idea. I think I already annoy the neighbours however :/

If its only once a week like me, and not too early/late - why not? - they need to get over themselves!
The headers/cats aren't Wortec items, they're another party, mrcv8 has the full Wortec set up on his CV8 which sounds totally amazing, a comparison at a meet would be good but I'm more than happy and it's better than I expected. I'm going to see how this set up goes for a bit, the sound will no doubt change a bit as the pipes soot up a touch then I'll decide whether I need to maybe stick a skinny silencer in somewhere to tone it down a notch or keep as is.
It's certainly not a car I can go out really early in or come back really late in any more due to me living in a built up area which might limit some uses and being an CV8, no switchable elements which is a pity as that'd really make it perfect then.

The trouble is, I have use of someone's car port that they kindly let me use to keep the Monaro under cover, which is under some flats (enclosed 3 sides). The car port does not belong to one of the flats but to a house not attached, so no idea who lives in the flat. I also need to reverse in as if someone parks opposite, I can't get out, so when I start, it is like a fairly substantial bomb going off - I know I wouldn't want to live above that! So I do 'almost' sort of feel mildly guilty.

Yup. Some of them like the noise anyway and some of them are a bit deaf. Not from the car though.

3rd party headers' and used exhaust fabricator in Ashford to make up cat section with high flow cats. Very pleased. Be taking it on a lengthy run up to MF in a more so I'll really see what's its like!
