Hope this doesn't sound patronising, but are you going to learn how to drive a 1400-hp car first? Only saying, because 900-hp is bugger all by comparison. Give you an idea, I can pull the car up onto one wheel with that sort of power. Half the reason I took to driving at York Raceway is because the surface is so poor. It makes it a great place to learn how to minimise the risk of a big off.

As for the size of the turbos, mine were so big that the inner wings were cut to fit them in. I now run 82mm turbos on the Audi. They'd never fit a Monaro engine bay.

BTW please fit a cage and wear a harness.

Wormus - you know my setup cost £65.50...tongue out
I never intend to drive hard within the confines of a drag strip and I certainly don't expect to have the type of power you have to cope with, especially not all at once as I expect to have boost control by throttle position, Rev and gear selection to maximise the efficiency, possibly also traction control and a sophisticated stability system too. I also have a lot of training and experience dealing with high power low and high speed events, with a lot more inertia too so I'm pretty happy as long as I respect the old gal we should get along famously, after all the pair of us have already spent more time together North of 190mph than almost anyone else and it's not the power that concerns me up there. An integral roll cage is on the list too.
But thanks for your sage words of advice. Your car is more than I'd want to tackle I'm betting, so have a bow for throwing it up the stripsmile

I wouldnt be worried about driving with big power.

A drag setup simply cant be compared to a road type setup in that respect. Big wobbly drag tyres are just dangerous, even more so when things get out of shape. They just try their best to hurt the car/driver.

Normal type tyres offer far better stability and control everywhere. So as long as you're half sensible, it should take some considerable effort to crash.

Although instances of using full power wouldnt be that often, max power would likely be reserved for big speed events.

IMO for the new setup Jez, it would make a LOT of sense to move to a proper ecu for control. The likes of Syvecs ( Or Life Racing ) will give you many options in terms of boost control, power delivery, traction control and many engine safety strategies.

I wouldnt even consider a standard ecu for what you're doing, or indeed almost any other ecu. It will do everything you need in one box and many things you thought you didnt need.

It will let you go faster, safer for longer when tuned in the right hands.

Looking fantastic Jezebel I look forward to seeing it run
Re the coating go white as it provides the best temperature protection in its natural form, any colour added reduces the protection by @ 1/2
