Has anyone used a car collect and delivery transporter company you'd recommend for a vxr8?
Need mine taken to monkfish from Basildon on Thursday but so far the ones I've found either can't take it as its too heavy or don't seem legit,

Have you asked Monkfish for the details of the company that they use? They got mine back to me with no trouble at all.

That's cheating Richard lol

Heron look on the local FB Groups, some of them have vehicle movement companies on them,

I looked when I needed mine taken to Walkinshaws, problem was it was so expensive and the price some of them quote you would of thought they where flying it there in an airbus A380.

I used a local company that the RAC also use for recoveries, and I guess there will be similar in your area. If there's no urgency to get it there (if Monkfish can wait a few days for the delivery) then the transporter can move it to their yard, and then move it at the same time as they have another vehicle going that way. It costs about 1/2 of the going rate for dedicated delivery by doing it this way.

You could try and search for someone on this site http://www.anyvan.com/

I've used people from here before to transport bikes, i know there is similar for cars, worth a try but reckon you will pay a price.

Or you could hire the truck yourself

Try Dusty at Lohrspeed. He's shifted several cars for me at a good price. He normally moves dragsters at the Pod. Last car he did for me was my VT2 from Watford to Monkfish. Cost £150.

Thanks guys, all sorted now, I went with wemoveyourcar.com £155. And just down the road from me in billericay.
The guy owns the worlds fasted rolls Royce which he takes to the pod and across the uk so is in capable hands, just hope the weather is good on the way up to the fish
