Don't need a 4 door, (no kids/friends lol) bought the r8 for the power, but had more fun in a ute, something that only ute owners will probably agree with, just something about them!

Fair enough sir.

If I didn't need the rear seats I'd probably be in a 2dr too. Although probably an Evora or Exige or similar. smile

Snap. I fancy a Ute too but the missus (who doesn't rule the roost) would make a good argument for the fact that 2 x 2 seaters would not go down well. Perhaps shift the vette later this year for a Maloo (once Richard's bored of his)

Is a corvette really more that much useful than a ute in the seat department?

that's what am saying, I can run a ute and the vette but the missus would argue that having two two seat cars is a bit excessive and she would have a point

Tell her she needs to be a bit more favourable with her comments, if she want to win the passenger seat competition. hehe

The question about the 'why the ute' I like the vxr8 Maloo but when you drive it you are distant from the driving experience but it's a great looking car and very rare , I would say I probably prefer my 04 ute , great colour fast enough got loads of looks and thumbs up , but for day to day driving I prefer the Monaro which has had a lot spent on it , I find with a sorted Monaro when you get in it its like strapping the car to you , subaru had same problems with there newer cars you loose the driving expirience , I do enjoy driving the ute but with more bhp I find Monaro easier to drive with less bhp , reason for selling ute was age of the car and a good time to buy a newer version
