Youre more or less proving my point, you'll need the correct gearing if you don't get away cleanly.
You have the correct gearing Stevie.

Yes and no

I used a single gear to achieve the bulk of that, less than ideal starting from 4300rpm. That was just a pull from 4300rpm to 6300rpm.
And after the slow shift it didnt really make full boost until around 4600rpm. So really it was only pulling hard from 4600-6300rpm.
It's a decent window, ideally the shift would drop me to 4800-5000rpm though which would be a much stronger pull.

Is one single gear to do all the work the best option ? It's hard to imagine it would be. But it is working fairly well for me.
A little bit of power can overcome that though. But not enough power still wont get you there even if gearing is perfect.

GTR's with lots of power, a few claiming around 1000hp, great gearing, super fast shifting and aerodynamic were only gaining 35-40mph over same distance, and with zero traction issues.
They were trapping around 140mph at the 1/4

IMO what it really tells me is that the start of the track actually means little, and whilst it's hard to do, you're actually better getting into taller gears sooner and letting the torque do the work.
This will result in a slower time over distance, but more time on track gives you more time to achieve a higher speed.

Even when you watch some of the insanely fast stuff over the 1/2 mile or mile, they often dont launch hard at all, and baby the first 2-3 gears before really going for it.

But certainly where you're going with the Tranzilla and 6th gear will work well as long as the diff/tyre/rpm's also work together.

Possibly, although it's not really been looked at with any real scrutiny as yet as it's not a phase one item.
Are you having the larger 31 spline output shaft for higher torque?

They dont do a Tranzilla with a small shaft as far as I know.

For the money they sounds like a great trans.

And I wouldnt be worried about the heat aspect of the iron block. Just the weight for me
