Lpg is indeed harder to ignite. So any weekness in the ignition system and it will missfire on lpg before it does on petrol. However if in good Nic the standard ignition set up is more than ample for trouble free running provided the lpg set up is good and the fuel trims haven't drifted off. How old are the plugs?

It would be good to know what the fault code is before going further though.
According to the service history, the plugs (and it looks like possibly the HT leads too although it's unclear) were replaced at 60k just over two years ago so they should surely be good for a while yet? It's been nearly a year since I had the conversion done so maybe it just needs tweaking a bit.

I haven't got round to ringing the LPG bloke yet (busy weekend!) but will hopefully get him to give it a quick check over this weekend coming.

Curious about the code though and as you say, it would be good to see what it was. I'm planning on coming down to the V8UK event in a couple of weeks if anyone will be able to have a look then?

Alternatively Phill, I work in Sheffield through the week and commute from Doncaster so if our paths are likely to cross again in the short term it'd be great to have a look

I don't want you to go out of your way though mate smile

Cheers

I will likely be in Sheffield later in the week, but I believe the codes would have been deleted when you reset the ECU?

I am sure someone more knowledgeable will be able to advise, if that is the case.

Hmmm... could have done I suppose... although the code did only pop up once and I drove it since then (but before the reset) and it didn't reappear... perhaps a slowly developing fault, hence an intermittent error code? I know these cars have a tendency to cry wolf sometimes so maybe I'll pursue it if it reappears and get the lpg checked in the meantime scratchchin
