I know, even more with breakfast. But at least you're able to cancel right up to the day with full refund, so if she pops early you don't lose out smile

IIRC scrutineering is from about 7.30 or 8am, then signing on, and briefing, before sighting laps at about 9-9.30am

Messaged walkinshaws to ask if mine still had the limiter on and they said yes, so i asked how much to remove the speed limiter and they said they will not do it.

HSV have asked them not to ?

So my max speed is going to be 155MPH

Fairly sure MF use HPTuners, not EFILive.

Mine already has a walky map so not sure how this would be done whilst still retaking the map.

I'm sure Paul's has been de restricted and it's virtually the same car.

Removing the limiter is done without disturbing the tune you have. Paul had his limiter removed by Monkfish.

Unfortunately, when his car had more work done at Walkinshaws, the limiter was reactivated. Not sure, but I think Monkfish may have removed it again.

As Ian says, MF can quite safely raise the limiter on a Walkinshaw mapped car, and indeed they did on mine. No problems there.

My problem was that since having the limiter raised by MF, I then subsequently asked WP to install a super charger. This of course involved further remapping work on my car which was carried out from a map WP had on file prior to the limiter being raised. This effectively restored the limiter to 155, inadvertently.

WP are not allowed to raise the 155 limiter due to commercial ties they have with HSV. I will be revisiting MF before Thunder Road to have the limiter raised once more smile

What power mods do you have?

With my old LS3 VXR8 running standard power at RAF Cottesmore years ago, I don't recall hitting the speed limited, though it was getting close.

As Paul says, I don't think you'll hit it until after the line, if you do. Here's last years trap speeds, and anything without a cam or supercharger is under 155mph

Just looked at the list and noticed fastbikes ran 154.33.

Is this just a standard engine with map.

I should just hit it then.

I will just keep it as is, not much point raising the limiter looking at the results.
