I've put in LED bulbs in the front and rear indicators (not the side markers yet), and the flash is too rapid (as if I had a bulb out). I'm a bit dense on relays - can I swap this out to get a slow flash, or do I need to add load resistors to each bulb?

I'm not sure exactly for these cars but I think in general cars measures the power draw on the circuit to decide if all the bulbs are working or not. I assume you have a Monaro since the vxr8 already has LED rear indicators. On the VXR8 there is that small black box in line with the rear indicators that is taking care of this I think (because LEDs weren't standard on the normal commodore?).

Sorry I can't be more help but almost certainly you can't just stick resistors in line with the LEDs and expect it not to go poof. In the general electronics case the power that passes through a LED is achieved by setting the right resistance with a resistor so if you mess with the resistance you are likely to damage the LEDs. I certainly wouldn't try it without being sure first. Also changing the relay won't help.

Hopefully someone with more clue will come along later smile

I was hoping for something more like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Electronic-LED-Flasher-R...

Most relays seem to go B-L-E, whereas that one goes E-L-B, which I assume matters!

Few bent paper clips will convert those just fine hehe

nono ordered a gl02 E-L-B jobber, hopefully that will do the trick...be the middle of next week before I know though. Worth it, the car looks better de-tangoed.

Christmas came early - cf13 gl-02 relay fitted, and can confirm it works...easy fix, no butchering of the loom required smile
