The car's booked in at Neil's on Friday for a little bit of surgery. He's fitting the headers that I've had made up by AAS and cutting and shutting whatever needs doing at the cats to make it all mate up and fitting a pair of new lambda sensors, and whilst he's got the car he's doing a four wheel alignment and an MOT, so I should be good for another year. (Barring all the other mods I want to do!) Once you start you just can't stop can you?! Just wanted to say a big thank you to everybody who's given me advice/help on this forum with names of people or places to talk to, hopefully when everything's done in the next week or so I'll be able to post some pictures of the (part) finished article

Good to hear. cool

Are you borrowing his Golf, while your car is in? It'll help you appreciate yours when it's back. hehe

Yes mate, but after what I've heard about the Golf it should be fun, but it'll never beat a small block Chevy!

Picked the car up from Neil's on Wednesday afternoon. The AAS headers look good in stainless steel but now I haven't got any holes in the headers it's too quiet, might have to have a box or the cats taken out so that I can actually hear my V8! It's definitely pulling smoother and stronger through the gears now I've got a complete exhaust again. I've now got 19" VXR alloys on the car (thanks Vince) and it pulls in a straight line again. The spend Is up to £1900 with the exhaust, wheels, MOT, all Neil's labour, steering wheel and the Gforce1320 steering wheel boss that I ordered 3 months ago from the USA that still hasn't turned up!! But now I'm making the car mine I've got the private plate that the Red Barron put on it and a set of 5 CV8 alloys with tyres going spare if anyone's interested in either
