Is there a gasket between the throttle body and intake manifold on a 5.7 Monaro VZ?
If there is, can you use a tube of sealant when you bolt it back together,or are you better off with a proper gasket

thanks again John

I've used gasket paste on other cars without any issues when I haven't been able to get a gasket. It works without any problems but you do need to be careful to fully wipe any excess afterwards. You don't want bits of gasket breaking off into your intake eek

It's a silicone sealing ring, not a gasket as such.

This normally remains in the inlet manifold and should rarely need replaced.
