Knock knock, who's there. Time to get the welder out but it'll take time aligning the pieces.

At a guess pinking, pre ignition or knock. Thing is, I thought the GM knock sensors would protect against these events and yet it still happens. Were they disabled?

The engine in my photos started from valve spring failure, the engine was misfiring as I drove, then as I slowed for a roundabout it just completely failed amid a cacophony of harsh metallic sounds from under the bonnet! New engine fitted now. smile
