Bump.
We are constantly getting orders now almost daily, we have improved our process of getting them done quicker however with the current work load we have an estimated lead time would be 3-5 weeks. wormus said:
Did you find a solution to the problem of fitting the larger heat exchanger to the Monaro without cutting the crash bar?
Any new pictures for the Monaro application? Still interested in one, just don't want to go first.
We have had several other installs on the VY-VX models (same as a monaro basically) I dont have any pictures sorry unless people send them to me. Any new pictures for the Monaro application? Still interested in one, just don't want to go first.
1 bought our smaller chiller and mounted it in front of the wheel well so no cutting was required.
The other guys cut out the rear of the crash bar and mounted the chiller in there.
All are working fine and getting cold intake temps.
We are fast approaching over 100 units either fitted or soon to be fitted now.
I thought you guys might like to see Australia's newest FASTEST 6.2L LSA VF GTS

I've got a kit on order, should be here soon. I have an alternative method in mind to install the heat exchanger unit without cutting the crash bar, time will tell if it will fit as I am hoping it will. I will post up some pictures as I go, once I have worked the installation out.
With the universal kit you can mount the chiller however....where ever you like.Trunk mount the sucker if you really want to.
A couple of guys with the LS1 GTO's have now moved their radiators back 1-2" and then bolted the chiller to the rear of the crash bar without issue.
Other guys have put it inside the crash bar and then re-welded and boxed it back in.
We even had 1 guy recently have a head on crash with it mounted inside the crash bar and the chiller was 100% fine, so was the driver....car was repairable too.
I’ve never been happy with how my Monaro deals with IATs on hot, summer days so I’m finally getting one of these fitted by TopCats ready for the spring.
Plan is to delete the front heat exchanger and hopefully make enough room to bolt behind the crash bar.
Going for a Pierburg CWA100 intercooler pump for improved flow and a 6 litre tank to go into the battery tray. Also plan to relocate a bigger amp battery to the boot.
Plan to leave the tune/boost as it is, doesn’t need more power, the goal is to make performance consistent no matter what the weather is doing. If I pick up another 40-50hp at the wheels, that’s a bonus.

Tuning will need rechecked.
If charge do drop subsantially...which they likely will, you'll need to ensure any air temp corrections were...correct, and that all tuning is good as it will need more fuel.
And in many respects air temp correction cannot be totally relied upon, as most air temp sensors are pretty slow responding.
Surprised more people havent used that setup though, as it seems pretty good.
