Just got my car back today and had a lovely incident free run back to Teesside with the new LS3 crate motor freshly installed, temperature gauge sitting bang in the same spot as the old motor, and it's running and sounding sweet as a nut. 500 mile running in period then back for an oil change. Just needs a good clean and polish after spending a month in their workshop! So a big thank you to Stuart and the rest of the guys for a job well done. smile

Did you have a nice cam fitted before the engine install.

Nah, stock as a rock for now - need to pay for the engine first! It still has it's headers and hi flow cats etc, so it's still got a bit of a rumble to it. smile

They are good, and very handy for us lot at the North end of the U.K.! smile

They had a gorgeous early 70's Buccaneer Red Formula 400 Firebird in the workshop today too - beautiful.

It's a great feeling Araf, because the week the engine blew was also the same week I moved into my new house - but I feel like I've moved in properly now I've got the R8 parked on the drive! Runs and feels so much sweeter now, the auto box changes are even smoother - mind I did have a fluid and filter change done at the same time, plus if they've had the battery disconnected the 'box will have probably 're-booted' it's settings too.
Moif and Aaron just need to get their cars sorted now. smile
