Good evening.
Is badboyburt still on this site...
I've got a small problem with my vxr8.
The stock radio ....I turn it on , the speakers all work for about 3seconds then they power down, and all I have working is the passenger sides front back and dash tweeter, the rear drivers side, but not the drivers door or dash tweeter.
I've worked my way round the car putting new speakers in,...still not working..
Any ideas really welcome, cos I can't play me little mix tunes or me Barry manalow

Don't you have an amp in the vxr8 saloon is that the issue ?

I think the amp may be incorporated into the head unit, but not sure ...

There is an amp in the boot compartment next to the battery on the left hand side.

Think that amp is just for the subwwofers

Sorry to hear your having issues, cant help you with the issues your having though.

Probably a daft question, but have you checked the ISO connector that goes into the back of the system to make sure the cables aren't crushed? Pull the panel off in the drivers footwell next to the centre console and its on the drivers side.

Apart from that did it work before you swapped the speakers? Maybe one of the speaker connectors is reversed?

Hjya, thanks for the responses.

The original speakers started to play up , on drivers door side and tweeter.
I changed them like for like. Because the connector at back of cone on door speaker appeared corroded.
The tweeter resistor when checked had no resistance, so put new one in there...

I will check the boot area, in meantime, hope everyone is well , and bad boy, when passing Eastbourne pop in for coffee, would be nice to catch up
