No many VT2s for sale these days, so if you want one in Gold this is the car for you.

Or you could wait for me to finish mine...

PS Given the value of the engine and gearbox, someone needs to buy this soon. Be a shame to see it broken.

This is where I wish I had a bigger drive to start collecting, though understandably, that's another slippery slope.......

Good price as it looks reasonably clean. The ex Brook 427 Monaro below it looks a tool too. smile

Id have that, if I didn't already have No 26. Lot of car for the money.

I'd buy it even though I have one on the drive biggrin

Sadly, the drive is so full now that I've taken to storing a car on the back of my recovery truck. Oh how the neighbours love me.

That does look nice, and would answer my need for more than 2 seats - think I'll give him a call :-)

Anything specific to the HSVs to look out for?

All the usually Monaro things, especially the gearbox.

Corrosion is the biggest issue, given that the car is older than the average Ro. Look at the chassis rails, sills (hard because they are covered) - especially at the back, wheel arches - including the area revealed when you open the back door, inner strut tops, underside in general, the whole area behind the grill and bumper, door bottoms, inner leading edge of the bonnet, fuel tank straps, etc.

Note that the car looks like it has the GTS-R alloys.

Thanks Arnie,

I'm going to look at it on Friday, and the owner is happy to put it up on Axle stands and let me have a really good crawl about underneath smile

It's had a couple of welding repairs to the chassis legs, so I'll have a good look at them, and the sills as you say smile

What's special about the GTS-R alloys - or just a sign of non-originality?

No - The GTS-R is rarer car (15 UK) than the GTS (31 UK), so the wheels are a nice option to have.

What is this worth?
I looked on ebay and the only item was a complete listing eng/box at £4.5k!
Just interested, no plans to buy or sell.
