Had KU39s twice all round on the 8 they are great tyres and that's a great price aswell, I am currently running Falken FK453s as the KU39s where not available in 275 when I needed them.

The FK453s have been fine, car gets driven hard and goes out in all weathers, like all tyres they need to warm up but they have performed well.

Standard power or not don't believe the hype about the MPSS being the daddy of tyres, that's more brand snobbery than actual scientific testing.

MPSS.... If you drive hard there is no better road tyre, period. The reason people don't fit them is that they cost allot.

They also last well, grip like limpits and look cool but... If you can't afford to spend that sort of money then other makes are fine, Kumhos are good value. Have them on my Sri daily shed and they grip well in all weathers.

As I said there is no scientific evidence of them being a better tyre, personal preference whatever owners buy.

From experience of having had the Bridgestones, Kumho and MPSS tyres on 2 VXR8's for almost the last 5 years and having driven over 100,000 miles on them, I completely agree with S800VXR.

Nothing wrong with the Bridgestones or the Kumho KU39's. They are good tyres. The KU39 is stand-out for it's price in my opinion. But the MPSS just gives more for longer when you push it. This was particularly noticeable when I had my supercharger installed. The Bridgesgtones that I had on which had been excellent just no longer hacked it at the back end. Switched to MPSS and the difference was very noticeable.

Standard power VXR8's or maybe with a cam, and the Bridgestones or the Kumho KU39's are just fine. Stick a supercharger on it and they come unstuck just a little too soon. Stick the MPSS on and you are at one with the world once more smile

That is a good point to be fair, personal preference. One mans perfect set-up is another mans nightmare.
