Hi Dougie do you know if the EDI is region and manufacturing date specific. It could be that export cars have a specific operating system for the manufacture date and region to which they are supplied and that cannot be changed. However if you was to get a total EDI failure and have to have a new one supplied by HSV it would be the latest version with the latest operating system but for a particular region.
As Barnie says I have an MY15 car and he has an MY14 car and I have the ability to enter postcodes into my satnav and also reversing graduation on mine too too. Not sure what the year cut off date is my car has a manufacture date of December 2014 so that is either near the start of year manufacture or I was lucky and because it is an end of year car it went out as an MY15 model

December 2014 would be an MY15, as pretty sure they switched over in November. If it is an auto it would have the flappy paddles. A manual, not sure how to differentiate that.

That would be right.

Number 23 is also vacuum operated, with reverse lines, and post codes. Not so much the 11...

On the VIN, under the wiper blade passenger side, the letter in front of the L7555677 (made up number) near the end of the sequence should either be an E or an F
E=MY14 F=MY15 G=MY16
Had to read a thick book for that!

Cool stuff, yeah I have MY14 with vacuum bimodal. I had to check on MyHSV to find that out. which also has a model year field in the vehicle details. My Model is: VF-VXR8M

Can ask them, but not sure how much they would charge. I have at least full Euro maps, got me down to Portugal no bother.

Can a dealer in the UK do that? It is just a software update. Any GM dealer should have the computer equipment to do it.
If they can't do it contact Chris White in America. He can reprogram them to say HSV, Chevy, or Holden. Google White Audio and Media dot com, and send him a message. Best of luck!
