Is it cool though? I mean, every young mum I work with is talking about how much they want one.

Not against Mustangs at all, but give me a brutal looking one from a few years ago. The new one has European market written all over it.
I have a 68 fastback as well and a 2005 model ( ste ), but anything after say 1970 in Mustangs will never be " cool " again

The 68 fastback sounds proper!

I'm not having a go at your new car by the way. I'm just jealous I can't afford one laugh

Went to look today.
Sadly all they had was a convertible to look at so came away undecided.
Looks lovely in yellow, good call.
They had an orange hard top at the Ford dealer in Wokingham the other day. No idea if it was a V8 but its not too far away from you.

It's cool in my little mind when compared to the rest of the dreary cars on our roads.

But yeah I agree the styling is certainly a shade of its former incarnations.

I my mind this and the Mach 1 are best shaped Mustangs ever produced. But then I'm odd.

I see that my biggest complaint about the US car I drove has been resolved. The wing mirrors are bigger smokin

This is just the first basic 'GT' release though, and they're normally incredibly bland looking... Just take the 05 for example:

Or this:

I think for the 'bland' starter, it's already a great looking car, and once people put a lip on it or better wheels etc. it'll look much meaner. The Shelby version looks great already IMHO, as does raving's banana hehe

Front if it looks great to me. Rear doesn't.

Agree the GT350 looks much more aggressive - have posted images before so won't do again.

Oh, and to spice it up, Ford just add a pair of parallel stripes over the top. hehe

Your right they do look a bit better with a few bits on as a standard car they are very bland

This is my 05 the car was heavily featured & was at the Sema show in Vegas = Antonov Ar500 19,000 miles not used for 4 years

i drove a 4 pot in the states and it handles well, alot better than a monaro.

That was also on a road called the "Tail of the Dragon" which is 11 miles long and has over 300 corners

looked at one, sounded pretty good and price is reasonable I guess and its a coupe . Would I get one?. No, interior dash is not great and whilst there are still some great VXR8's around I will stick with the HSV brand as long as I can.

I'm test driving one on Saturday - looking to buy Race Red, manual etc.

The bonnet not lining up is common - two screws behind the bumper can be adjusted to raise it up in line; takes a few minutes.

I didn't like the tips of the front wings, IMO a problem waiting to happen in years to come.

Dunno, bit of a strange one . It was built by Wheel to Wheel & Antonov with a revolutionary twin stage supercharger system

It appeared at Sema ( google Antonov Ar500 that is the car ), loads about it on the net & had big magazine features

Built engine with steel crank, rods , forged pistons, fabricated inlet manifold, charge cooled , big brakes , ford racing suspension , exhaust etc etc etc

I ve got a spare blower for it , a dissected blower on a stand to see how it works etc etc interesting car and I have done about 400 mile in 4/5 years in it

But Value ?? Unsure

Heres the feature & the car

Yep, spot on! This one I'll use (daily driver) - The Monaro just stays in bed now.
