Maybe the hijacker ought to go over to the junk forums as all his 9 cars in his garage belong there

There is always one acensoredehole that's tries to upset everyone else's enjoyment

Well done Dougie for standing your ground and being very polite. But some people just don't get the message and give up

Ian, stay on the list as you have a Ute that qualifies 100% as far as the hosts (VX) are concerned

Why doesn't he just go and organise his own chevrolet / crapillac event

Dougie, if it saves grief, you can scratch me from the list, and we'll just spectate. It's a fantastic event and we wouldn't miss the party for anything.
No Grief here just others spoiling posts and events.

Thanks, just wasn't sure and as I don't know you personally, I did not know what "we" was referencing in your post.

WE Bring the VXR8 in from Holden/HSV.
But not the Holden badged Ute?

DougieMc said:
Not sure your point but I understand you want to be part of the event unfortunately Corvette are not Paying for the event Sorry
It's not a Corvette. My car is a 1999 Camaro and to quote your earlier post:

DougieMc said:
WE (Vauxhall) Brought in the Camaro from Chevrolet.
I'm not trying to be funny about this. But Vauxhall did the same thing with certain other GM models in the past, as they did with some of the Holden range, although they didn't re-badge them.

My Camaro is a full EU model and was sold new by a Vauxhall dealer in London back in 1999 (it still had the Vauxhall dealer tax disc holder in it when I bought the car). And was Vauxhall dealer serviced and maintained in it's earl days.

My local Vauxhall dealer (MK) also sold these cars new from 1998-2002.

It's no less a UK Vauxhall car than a Holden Ute is and arguably more so as the latter must be a grey import and never been through a Vauxhall dealership.

I'm not wanting to de-rail your thread. So if no is still the answer then fine. But it would rather seem of one rule for them and a different rule for me.
Get a vxr8 ( Holden )
Then you can play
It's that simple

Could I bring my VW LT50 car transporter? It has an engineless Monaro on the back biggrin

Maybe I could turn up empty. Someone's bound to need a lift home...

Scared I'll win? It's got a turbo, you know. Hits the 50mph limiter in, like, hardly any minutes at all.

Hi guys, is there still room to enter the event? It looks like the website is down as it's just loading a blank page.

I picked up my Monaro VXR this weekend, it'd be good to get out to something like this.

It'll be good to have you there too. Don't feel intimidated if we're talking in groups - introduce yourself. We love new blood to the marque. smile

All booked up! Looking forward to meeting some owners and seeing what she'll do (although I'm really just in it for the food).

Do we know if the runway is swept before the event? I know some other runway events are notorious for stone chips.

They have said that it is, before - but that bunnies and birds spread stones back on the runway. scratchchin

Look on it as an incentive to be ahead in your pairing - and you'll have a better chance of that if you pick a white Ute to run against. boxedin
