Hi chaps, after looking for a while I've finally found the right car and put a deposit down today. Can't wait to get it next week! The noise and the power are immense!!! Apparantly it's been in a magazine and been to monkfish for lots of work! The link is below, anyone know the car?
Cheers

Welcome. The car was sold by same dealer back in Dec 2015 for £10,500 which was too cheap.

Guy who bought it decided to sell it on 5 months later. I agreed to buy it but I HPI'D it and it came up on security watch register and on finance register. But finance was taken out in Jan 2016 !! and it wasn't the seller / owner

There was fraudulent finance taken out involving the dealer as they were paid by the finance company !! So I pulled out of buying it as it was very messy. The dealer had to have the car back as they were involved

make sure you get finance clearance amd HPI Clearance on it before you hand over money. Don't rely on the dealer. Do your own checks yourself

Good car once the grief is sorted

Hi (James, I presume!), thanks for this. I've just done a HPI check and it's showing finance on it which is a bit odd as the V5 showed just one owner since new...scratchchin
I have been conversing with you about a car, but just don't have the time to pop down to sort it out (I have the TT v6 roadster to part ex). This car is local to me so would be ideal. Its a great car so I'd be gutted if there's an issue with the finance. I'm due to go tomorrow to finalise this so won't be buying without full confirmation from the dealer that there are no hidden issues. It seems like a great car. Fingers crossed!!!
Cheers for your advice thumbup

Goodluck Simon. The two VXR's you were interested in are now both sold. It is a good one that CV8, but their is something very odd about the finance taken out after he bought it for cash from the dealer. He never changed the reg doc so still one owner. Someone at the dealership new what was going on. But they are supposed to be paying finance company back

Def sounds like one to be very wary of !!! Why is the dealer still trying to sell it if they know there's still dodgy finance on it ?

Good job JB has already looked at this and been able to tell the true story behind it, otherwise it may turn out you could possibly be without a car and out of pocket !!

Definitely! Thanks fellas. It's a stunning car and it would be a real shame to let it go. But, it's better than being nearly £13k out of pocket!! I'll see what I can sort out tomorrow before I commit 100%.
Cheers

Ps, James, I didn't think those others would hang around long!! Haha. If this one falls through, I'll be looking again, and have the cash ready to go if you get anything nice in stock

Cheers James. Decent price from Sky with a low excess. Now sorted! I've queried the finance with the dealer and they have confirmed that I will get a clearance letter confirming they have paid off the finance when I get the car, so i'll be checking this very carefully before signing up for the car! Roll on Thursday!!! driving

I had this when I bought my jeep I was told by a friend in the trade to get the details of the finance company and you can ring them direct to confirm there is no outstanding balance on the regestration for that vehicle. I did this and although they wouldn't discuss data about the account they confirmed that the balance had been clear on the day I handed over the cash

I'll definitely be doing this before handing over any cash!
I've seen invoices on the car totalling £15k for the supercharger, sports pack (exhaust system?) , quick steering rack, AP Big Brake system and ripshift(?). The dealer reckons it's rolling roaded at 550 bhp, but I'm dubious of dealer 'sales talk' . It's bloody quick though!! I'm praying the finance thing isn't an issue!!

Hope you are well Gary.
You always slate dealers and me more than others as you always like a dig (all over a £50 part 6 yrs ago). but you're also a dealer selling cars and spares so whatever you are saying about dealers you are saying about yourself aswell wink

Cheers Dave. It's a stunning car. I just pray that there's no issue with the finance on the car. No time for meets due to the hours I work, unless there's anything near the Wirral area! yes
