I am about to get the original 14" rostyles reconditioned and will use the opportunity to put on some new rubber.

Does anybody have a recommendation on the best tyres to buy? The car is original and unmodified.

Thx

Depends on what size you want to go for and what feel you want to get. Friend of mine will only use 165s as he feels the steering is too heavy. I've always gone for a 185/70 on the 14s and it worked well.

Continentals do an eco contact in that size which is pretty damn good in the wet and more than good enough in the dry. I've bought 3 sets of these over the years. I use the bigger version on my 15s and it keeps the back end in check nicely. Tried yokohama A drives in the past and they went a bit hard over 5 years.

The Pirelli Cinturatos look great. Thanks for the replies.
